Galena, IL--In an announcement that shocked few people in Galena, GM/Owner Matthew Peck proclaimed that 1B/DH Paul Molitor is on the trading block. When asked why this move was taken by the Hamsters front office, Peck stated that the Hamsters had holes to fill that couldn't be avoided any longer. "The Hamsters need a second baseman of better than average quality, and an enhanced relief corp. If we can pick up a few good relievers or a good 2B for Molitor, we will seriously have to consider sending Molly on his way."
Molitor was a bit surprised and miffed when asked about the Hamsters' policy regarding him. "I won the first base job out of spring training. I'm batting 45 points higher than Brandt Brown [the ere incumbant]. It doesn't make sense."
