The Edmonton Oil Kings have traded Pitchers Ben Mcdonald, Arthur Rhodes, and Bob Ardell to Hartford for Kenny Rogers, Jose Rosado and Francisco Cordova. "Although we hated to trade away our ace, Ben Mcdonald, we feel that Kenny Rogers will more than adequately fill his shoes." stated GM Brian Sculac."And getting two young, excellent pitchers in Rosado and Cordova will help our ballclub immensely."
The Edmonton Oil Kings completed their second deal of the night as they sent CF Ruben Rivera to the Brooklyn Flaming Skulls for P John Frascatore. "We hated to give up a prospect like Rivera, but he wasn't going to play ahead of Mickey Kelly." stated GM Sculac. "Frascatore is a heck of a talent. He'll immediately make an impact on this team."
