Interum Owner, Scott Sloan, is not one with a flare for the dramatic.Ê He let the cat out of the bag on this big trade....
"Yeah, Matt Williams," got what he wanted.Ê ""Traded to a contender," Said Scott in a confernce call with reporters.Ê "Wetteland is gone too", said Sloan.Ê
Williams, who was shooting a commericial for Rogain, was unaviable for comment.
Most agree this is the start, of a dismantling process for the Menace.Ê Since purchaching the team and moving it for Denver, Sloan has seen nothing but Red ink.Ê "Well I can't comment specifically, Let's just say this isn't what i expected when I bought the team.Ê I have far more profitable ventures in my conglomerate.... the Menace have failed to deliver.Ê I guess I need some help runing operations," said an exhasted Sloan later.
It is expected that a press confence will be called later in the where upon the Menace will be put up for sale.Ê The Board of Directors for the menace have a closed door meeting on Wednesday morning, and relocation and sale of the team is expected to be the main topic.
"Any body who thinks a team can survive in this market [Milwaukee] is insane," sited Bud Selig Commishner of a "rival" baseball orginzation.Ê "Especially with that tight-ass Sloan running the ship.Ê He refuses to put any resourses into the Menace.Ê He'd rather concetrate on his other business ventures.... They never stood a chance".
---This serves to purposes.Ê 1) to confirm the trade... and 2) to announce my intention to resign....Ê Between 19 credit hours and 30+ hours a week of school, I dont even have time to read the titles of all of the emails that are sent out.Ê (Let alone write some of my own, and keep up).
