Andy Benes fractured his foot in yesterdays game and will be out for 1-2 weeks and thus stopping the major trade yesterday to from taking place. The trade sending Henry Rodruigez to Phoenix for Doug Drabek, much to ryan George's shegrin, was processed. "I'm very upset. Yesterday we greatly improved our team but after what happened, our team is much worse than it was yesterday. Now I'm stuck with an extra starting pitcher and no proven left fielder. I'm going to make a lot of trade offers over the next few days to try to get another outfielder orÊ relief pitcher. This really screws up our plans."
The Skulls have said thet are willing to trade Doug Drabek, 3-1 3.31, and Andy Benes (as a player to be named later) for a #1, or #2 starter and are willing to part with both for a top noch position player at either OF, SS or 2B.
To add to the bad news, the Skulls lost today and dropped to 3.5 games ahead of Motor City.
