The Broklyn Skulls have just traded for Jeff Bagwell. As you all know, over the weekend there was a lot of contraversy involving Jeff Bagwell being traded to a couple of teams. There were no rumors about Brooklyn being interested in Bagwell but it took just one trade offer to complete the trade. In return Tampa Bay gets a lot. The major player was Donovan Osborne, a very good starter who is 2-2 with an era under 4 but he suffered a minor injury which might cause him to miss 2 starts. The other big name in the deal was Troy Percival. Percival is one of the best closers in baseball and on the year he was 1-0 with 4 saves and an era under 2. ron Coomer was also sent to Tampa, Coomer has played very well so far. Some people have already criticized Brooklyn for the trade but G.M. ryan Geroge had this to say, " Jeff Bagwell is the best all-around first baseman in baseball and whenever you havce the chance to get a player of that calaber you give up whatever you can. We did give up a lot but we have the resources to replace those players."
Jeff Bagwell will stay in Tampa for a few days because the Skulls have a traning facility in Tampa and Bagwell is injured. Bagwell is expected to join the ballclub at the end of the week.
