At the beginning of the season the Skulls line-up was among the best in the league but after injuries have taken 4 big bats out of the line up, the Skulls have been looking for some hitters. Along with a bat in the middle of the line up, the Skulls have been looking for both a bonafied lead off hitter and a set-up man. Rumor has it that they have agreed to a deal which would bring those 3 to Brooklyn. There are no confirmed reports but it seems as if the Skulls will be getting Greg Vaughn, Lance JUohnson and Roberto Hernandez from The Shredders. The Shredders are looking for pitching so the major player on Brooklyn's side would probably be Donovan Osborne, who is 2-2 with an era under 3. Going to The Shredders along with Osborne will most likely 2 or 3 relievers, C- Tyler Houston and 1b- Ron Coomer. Many people think that this is an odd trade on both sides but if you look into it you might be able to find a reason for it. The Skulls have a very deep staff which makes Osborne tradable, The Skulls desperately need a lead-off hitter which they would be getting in johnson and due to injuries they need a power hitter which they would be getting in Vaughn. It might seem odd for The Shredders to make this deal but they do need starting pitching if they are to stay in the divisional race. The loss of Vaughn might hurt but the loss of Johnson won't hurt a lot since they do have good back up CF'ers. They will also deepen their middle relief but they will loose one of the best closers in Hernandez. The only reason why this trade hasn't gone through yet is because the teams are trying to see if you can trade players to be named later.
